Elements Tankers, a Tanker Shipping Company of our Group is seeking an AssistnatTechnical Superintendent to join its Technical Department and support the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of its tanker fleet.
Responsibilities:
Uphold and actively promote Health, Safety, Security, Quality, Environment, and Energy (HSSQEEn) standards in alignment with the company’s policy.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to HSSQEEn excellence through exemplary behaviour and proactiveness.
Communicate effectively with the Master and Chief Engineer to ensure optimal performance and compliance with both company and Charterers’ operational requirements.
Participate in the company’s vessel attendance program to assess and verify the condition of assigned vessels and associated records.
Ensure that proactive maintenance and corrective actions are implemented promptly to maintain operational integrity.
Assist in preparing annual maintenance and dry dock budgets for assigned vessels.
Support the coordination and execution of scheduled and unscheduled repairs within approved budgets.
Attend vessels during major repairs and dry-docking, providing oversight to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution of work.
Assist in planning classification society surveys and inspections, ensuring vessels are presented on time and all certificates remain valid.
Review requisitions for lubricants, spare parts, and supplies in line with operational needs and budgetary constraints.
Collaborate with vessel staff to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of required resources.
Identify areas for improvement in vessel operations and maintenance, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the fleet
Qualifications:
Chief Engineer license with sea-going experience in LNG carriers of minimum (3) years and/or holding a degree or equivalent from a recognized university (of Naval Architect or Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer)
2 + years’ previous experience in the same role will be considered a plus
English language skills minimum B2 or equivalent – preferably C1(or Graduate studies in English language).

Monitor and ensure the proper operation of all vessel electrical, electronic, and automation systems.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to onboard engineers and crew.
Plan and oversee electrical repairs, dry-dock works, scheduled maintenance and electrical/electronic equipment upgrades.
Liaise with shipyards, suppliers, service providers, and classification societies.
Prepare and maintain accurate technical reports, documentation, and communication.
Participate in internal audits and external inspections (PSC, Class, ISM, etc.).
Conduct occasional visits to vessels when necessary.
Qualifications:
University degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar shore-based position within a shipping company and/or as a Chief Electrician/Electro-Technical Officer on bulk carriers or similar vessels.
Strong knowledge of vessel electrical systems (HV/LV), automation, navigation, and communication equipment.
English language skills minimum B2 or equivalent – preferably C1(or Graduate studies in English language).
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems and fleet management software (e.g. AMOS, Danaos, ERP systems).
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel abroad when required.
Electrical License for Marine Installations or experience in newbuilding projects is a plus.
Familiarity with hybrid or electric propulsion systems will be considered an advantage.
